The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama received the Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Policy, Mental health Policy and the reviewed HIV draft policies on Monday, January 30, 2023 from the O3 plus Committee. The Draft policies are to be taken to the University Executive Board (UEB) and then subjected to stakeholder Engagement before being published and officially adopted by the Institution.
A team from the Ministry of Health (MoH) held a 4-day training to sensitize a section of the University of Nairobi (UoN) staff on the government health digitisation blueprint.
The staff mainly from the Department of ICT and University Health Services were trained on the new Integrated Digital Health Platform (IDHP), AfyaKE which focuses on moving from paper system to digital system, local to global information systems, improving the use of data only for patients care to research and focusing on health care professionals to consumers within the hospital management system.
